Since 1979, the non-profit Conclave - in keeping with its mission of educating the broadcast industry - has been awarding scholarships to deserving students desiring an education inside the radio and music industries.
At this year's Conclave, we will present two scholarships to broadcast students.
The BMI Founders Award is an annual scholarship competition open to radio broadcasting students nationwide.
The award commemorates the group of radio industry leaders who founded Broadcast Music, Inc. in 1939 with a mission to provide a competitive source for music licensing and an open-door policy to songwriters, composers, and publishers of all genres of music.
A $5,000 scholarship will be awarded for the best original essay response submitted to the competition and recognizes a college student with the potential to become an innovator in the rapidly changing field of broadcast radio.
McNally Smith College of Music will also be presenting a scholarship.
This will be an excellent celebration of the future of our industry!
